The set includes one wooden pencil holder and three wooden coasters. The flat bases can also be used as small decorative pictures. Children can keep their finished creations on their desk or give them as handmade gifts.
From sticking on the pieces to the final coat of varnish
First, peel off the protective film from the adhesive layer, then arrange the ceramic pieces on the base. Fill the gaps between them with mixed plaster and clean the surface with the included sponges. After drying for at least three hours, you can coat the mosaic with protective varnish, which becomes transparent once dry. The varnish needs several more hours to dry.
Crafting with an illustrated guide
The colorful illustrated instructions guide children through each step and provide patterns for inspiration. As they work, children practice placing the pieces precisely and planning color combinations. The package also includes a bowl, spatula, brush, two sponges and one pair of gloves. How to make your mosaic
- Peel the protective film off the adhesive layer on your chosen wooden base and arrange the ceramic pieces.
- Wearing the included gloves, prepare a small amount of plaster. The instructions specify 30 g of plaster per 20 ml of water.
- Use the spatula to fill the gaps. Gently wipe away the excess with a damp sponge and remove the film from the pieces with the finishing sponge.
- Leave the mosaic to dry for at least 3 hours.
- To protect the surface, apply the included varnish with the brush and leave it to dry for several hours. The varnish becomes transparent once dry.
